The Diatom Wiki
This site is the current home of the diatom wiki, meant to be a scientific resource for diatomists. Planned content includes an array of useful scientific information, including taxonomic, ecologic, and stratigraphic data about diatoms, as well as historical information on diatomists, useful references, diatom terminology, and other educational tools.
Progress
This site is currently under initial construction. This phase includes the creation of site/layout design, article templates, improving basic functionality, and addition of basic usage guidelines and tutorials.
- The preliminary layout, color scheme, and wiki skin are now (more or less) set. Expect minor changes around the site occurring periodically.
To access preliminary content
- View articles by genus.
- No real articles have been added. Articles present are for display purposes (so far).
- View articles by taxonomic level.
- Taxonomic relationships have not been fully established, but the general flow (using categories to link groups) has been established.
- View species templates Category:Taxonomic Templates.
- Most templates are still under development. Expect moderate changes.
- View glossary Category:Terminology.
- Terminology templates and general layout are essentially set. Expect minor changes.
- View tutorials Category:Wiki Tutorials.
- Just a few tutorials have been added. Expect major additions.
