Species Description:

Mini Description: One-half to two-thirds of the inner portion of the areolated segments are hyaline; 3-4 rows of areolae are present on the outer or marginal portions of the segments.
Original Name Asterolampra vulgaris var. hyalina Gombos in Gombos and Ciesielski, 1983: An Asterolampra vulgaris Greville in which one-half to two-thirds of the inner portion of the areolated segments are hyaline; 3-4 rows of areolae are present on the outer or marginal portions of the segments; diameter of holotype 38 µm.
